October 2020 Second Tuesday Prayer

Please join True Impact Ministries in our united, worldwide, day of prayer

Tuesday October 13, 2020

Our encouragement today comes from Jesus’ first parable in Luke 18

And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.

He said, “In a certain city there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected man. And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, ‘Give me justice against my adversary.’ For awhile he refused, but afterward he said to himself, “Though I neither fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will give her justice, so that she will not beat me down by her continual coming’” And the Lord said, ‘Hear what the unrighteous judge says. And will not God give justice to His elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?

Lord, Today we pray with persistence.

You are a God of justice. Please bring justice, mercy and grace to each vulnerable child and adult we serve in Uganda through True Impact Ministries.

  • Open housing and education opportunities that have been closed.

  • Continue to provide food, clothing, and bedding to those in need.

  • Keep each one emotionally and physically safe from harm.

  • Protect them from illness. Bless them with health and strength.

  • Be present to the Primary 7, Secondary 4 and 6 students who may return to classes this week. Give wisdom, knowledge, and peace as they prepare to take final exams after being isolated from instruction for so long.

You are a God of love and compassion. You respond speedily. Help us not to lose heart. Be present to each child and adult so they may know their value and identity as your child.

  • Thank-you that you know each of us by name.

  • Thank-you for providing workers to encourage, labor, and watch over the children. Thank-you for Pastors, Directors, Teachers, Accountants, Social Workers, and volunteers who intercede to help.

  • Thank-you for sponsors and donors. Encourage hearts and minds during this challenging season

You are a God of truth. You are the righteous judge.

  • Provide clear direction for our leaders and decision makers.

  • Strengthen avenues of communication to best support the children.

  • Remind us to seek you daily and remain persistent in prayer.
