Please join True Impact Ministries in our united, worldwide, day of prayer.

December 14, 2021

A Christmas Time Reflection

Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they will call his name “Immanuel” which means God with us. (Mt 1:23)

“We hear of a God who comes to pitch his tent among ours. A God who in Jesus is not merely with us as a chair is with us, but who sees us, speaks with us, sits at our table for a meal and asks us questions.” (Curt Thompson, MD)

We are invited into a conversation with Immanuel today as we pray. Follow the guide or pray as you are led.

Spend time in thanks and praise.

  • Give thanks for the gift of Jesus, for the celebration of Immanuel, God with us.

  • Thank him for hope and peace and goodness which only He can provide.

  • If you are a sponsor, pray for your child.

  • Praise God for the strength and determination displayed by each leader in Uganda who daily serve the kids.

  • Praise God for provision and new hope at Salem Christian School. Thank him for the mentorship program at Hoffman, Immanuel and Maranatha. Praise him for older students from Salem Children’s Home who have persevered in 2021 and graduated.

Pray for schools to reopen in January!!

  • Ask God for protection and encouragement as the students continue to wait and prepare. Pray that each child would hear and understand how much God loves them.

  • Ask God for new ideas and avenues of learning for the kids, academically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially.

  • Ask the Lord for health and protection from virus variants, from malaria and typhoid, from burns and injuries. Continue to pray for Sadam, Nabirye, Sophia, Ruth, Gideon, Racheal, Brian, and others.

  • May God’s Kingdom extend on earth. May each life connected to True Impact Ministries come to know Christ as Lord.

And now Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you. (Psalm39:7)

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing,

so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (Romans 15:13)
